parent portal
A big part of the Mighty Oak Initiative is working with parents and carers in a supportive and advisory capacity, helping them to navigate the minefield of being in the parenting role for a young person unable to access mainstream education.
From our experience of talking to and supporting families, it can feel isolating and overwhelming. We are here to help.
Our 'Parent Portal' is for anyone looking after and making parental decisions for a child, struggling in a mainstream education environment. Here, we will post the dates of our monthly meetings where parents can drop in for advice, to share stories, for friendship and to not feel alone. Senior Leaders for Mighty Oak will be on hand to advise of current legislation, statutory guidance, reform and best practice in the field of Alternative Education and SEN provision.
Meetings will alternate monthly between our Kendal and Penrith sites. We will post and update details of those meetings here.
Please check in here routinely for updates and notification of our forthcoming meetings.
