For many young people who would like to undertake their GCSE English Language, the greatest barrier to success in accessing or achieving the qualification is demonstrating the skill of inference, which is also one of the main examination objective.
As an English specialist, teacher to many young people with autism, and an examiner for the English Language GCSE examination, I have devised a revision methodology that enables this demographic of brilliant students to access the subject and pass the exam successfully.
I have seen this approach work time and time again, and it is the inspiration behind both the

and our small Kendal setting being an exam centre - a familiar space where our learners can take their formal exams and feel at "home."
