Mighty Oak Initiative is an Alternative Provision that sets out to provide high-quality education, working with the Local Authority and other key partners and stakeholders to ensure thorough and effective delivery underpinned by robust strategic planning. Our policies have been carefully written for the setting, inspected by commissioners and subject to routine review.
All staff at Mighty Oak receive regular training in how to access Early Help, which is an integral aspect of the work we undertake. We also work closely with the Safeguarding Hub and make referrals in accordance with up to date training, best practice and statutory policy.
Our policy regarding behaviour at Mighty Oak is always enacted from a therapeutic perspective, working with the young person and the people who care for them. Staff are trained in a wide range of procedures, including Prevent and Mental Health. CPD is ongoing and a broad spectrum of mandatory and optional specialist policy areas are consistently undertaken and updated by staff.
